You have been reading about the feeding centers! Some time ago we were forced to close them due to lack of funding. At the same time the cost of the food had almost doubled making it even more difficult to reopen them. In June Hein was asked by a group of 13 community leaders to consider reopening the centers. They had heartbreaking accounts of what was going on in their villages. Their children were slowly dying. Hein was not able to promise anything but he told them that if they would pray earnestly, he believed God would answer their prayers. So they did! They prayed and prayed! In October Hein met with them again, this time with very good news. Prayers had been answered!. The 2-cents-a-meal offering of the Coastal Carolina Presbytery was going to support the program! In January of 2011 the centers will be reopened! Praise God for the way He looks after His children. More than a thousand little children getting a meal four times a week...
